TEMP-EXPERI-MAT 2018 cSpace King Edward

This outdoor installation sought to explore the effects of time and materiality on low relief panels. The aim of the project was to show art in process; the way time affects the art itself. To accomplish this, light sensors were used. During the day, the play of light showed the passing of time as the shadows and illuminations changed with the sun. At night, the light sensors allowed the piece to be backlit, showing the cycle in which art moves and evolves across passing moments. The play of light across night and day provided viewers with a chance to reflect on the how art is impacted across a wider expanse of time.
